Asif Aziz is an investment advisor and CEO of Criterion Capital, a UK property development firm.

After his family emigrated from Africa to the UK, Mr Aziz began his career with Morgan Grenfell Laurie, offering strategic real estate consultancy. Not long after, he founded an FMCG distribution company which was sold 10 years later.

Aziz's own property portfolio began with the purchase of two shops in Deptford High Street. Since then, his company Criterion Capital has purchased a variety of London property, including the YMCA in Central London and the Trocadero, an entertainment complex in London's Picadilly area.

In 2008, Asif was awarded permission to begin a £100 million redevelopment of the Trocadeo Centre.

His latest plans include the development of two recent purchases, One Leicester Square and Coventry House.
